Walk the moonWalk Two Moons.

Walk Two Moons is a collection of stories. Sal individually tells to her grandparents while they are lost in a car on their way to visit Sal’s mom for her birthday, and try to bring her back home. Sal tells stories told from the tip of her tongue the affect on that had caused her grandma and grampa to start saying things that don’t  make sense at all like Huzza, Huzza or chick a’ -biddy and she gets it from nowhere and he

Sal keeps thinking why her mother sailed to Lewis-ton, Idaho and Sal doesn’t know if she is feeling mad or sad but she is determined to get her mother back one way or another.

Sal has a best friend named Phoebe. Though Phoebe is really scared because someone keeps leaving her family mysterious messages. If you think there are no more problems than your dead wrong.

The first problem is when anyone touches Phoebe she  flinches whenever  someone touches her, she thinks it is the lunatic. The next problem is with Mrs. Cadaver. Phoebe tells Sal that her last name means death and now she thinks Mrs. Cadaver killed Mr.Cadaver him. Finally, the last problem in the book is when Sal keeps on hearing the words rush ,rush ,rush and  hurry, hurry ,hurry.

Each story fits into the main narratives and also resonates and amplifies the meaning and substance of other stories. At the same time, each story plays a distinct role in the narrative, demonstrating the power stories have to affect human experience and consciousness. Phoebe uses her story about the lunatic to ward off other, more threatening, reason all Mrs. Winter bottom’s disappearance. Sal uses Phoebe’s story as a way to relive her own story and come to a better understanding of it. Grandparents stories provide Sal with a sense of her own family history and with a model for her own life and loves.
